| I want winter to be over!! John got me a swimsuit (it's still in the mail) for my birthday, and I can't wait to wear it!! I want to go lay by the pool...plus, I am teaching Ava how to swim! I can't wait!
School is almost over - only about three months left until I have officially graduated! I am excited to start a career. I've been searching for a job but I'm not having a whole lot of luck finding anything. It supposedly takes three months to get a job. It certainly helps if people are hiring!! Pray for us because we would like me to start working asap!
More generally speaking, we keep pretty busy. It seems like we have something going on almost every night/weekend. It's crazy, and we like it; however, we definitely like our down times at home.
I love John. He is the most amazing guy I know, and I am so proud to be his wife. We have the best times ever, and I can't wait till our summer together.
| Look at this beauty. This grey Professional HD Kitchenaid is officially sitting in my kitchen!!!
I love it! Hmm..what should I make? More Christmas cookies are coming your way.
Have I told you how much I love John, as well as being his wife. There's been those little bumps along the road, but I have loved our marriage. It's so special and sacred for us. Plus, a lot of fun!
The corps asked us to be one of the Open House Christmas parties on Sunday. We are very excited! Our house is all decorated for CHRISTMAS!! John still has lights to put up.
| Brief Overview of Summer: our wedding, Chateau Avalon, cruise to mexico and honduras, nannying for little Ava and Reagan (whom I dearly miss), weekend getaway, house decorating, lifeguarding, Santacaligon, lots of baseball games, Farmer's Market (several times), Roots, Softball games, Great Grandma's memorial service, Brittany's wedding, Jacob's Bday Party, Oceans of Fun, VBS, John's "Guys Weekend in Minnesota, my "Girls Weekend at our house with Nicki", umm...there is more but I want to tell you everything else!
Summer is over, and I am back in school for one last year. John is working at the EDS warehouse (which he loves, most of the time anyway). We are doing very well. Our marriage is getting stronger and closer every day. Our house is getting homier and more "us". We are still decorating, but we are excited for how far it has come!
Past weekend: John and I went to Ballet in the Park, Fire on the River at the Plaza with my parents, the Greek Festival, the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. All were so much fun!! At the plaza, they lit up these bonfires in the middle of the river...it was so cool! We had the priviledge of taking part in KC's first year of it! It will continue to be a yearly event now. We also got to eat dinner at BUCA'S! Amazing and full weekend, huh?
Today, I went with my family to the funeral of a seventeen year old family friend. He was killed last week in a plane crash while he was logging some of his solo hours (his plane stalled). He was a very close friend of ours, and he was my brother's best friend. I was actually the photographer for it, which I enjoyed even though it wasn't necessarily the most fun event.
School is going well. I'm taking eighteen senior-level hours...fun and busy. I'm also doing a PR internship for Park's Theatre Department. There is also a possibility for a potential post-graduation career available to me (details will come later).
Coming up: Plaza Art Fair, Rennaisance Festival, Weston's Applefest, Gladfest, Fall Break, Brooke's Wedding, Caryn's Wedding, Mike & Carrie's baby, John's Birthday, School plays/musicals & receptions...

John goes back to work, and I'm getting ready to start on our stacks of thank you notes. It's a great life!! We're so glad to finally be married!!!
